Utica Safe Schools, in partnership with the Oneida County Executive's, "Partners in Prosperity" project, along with the Utica City School District and Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) will be providing summer programming to students in Utica to engage and inspire more young people around the areas of S.T.E.M.-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Safe Schools will be running a 4 week summer STEM program for students going into 7th-9th grades, at the Underground Cafe (500 Plant St Utica, NY 13502) beginning July 27th. The program will run from 9am-1pm Mon-Thursday and all accepted applicants will receive a paid scholarship which will allow them to attend at no cost. Additionally, our partner, MVCC will be providing a 6-week "Math Corps" program for Utica students entering the 11th grade. This program is based off of the Wayne State University's Math Corp program and youth will build and enhance their math skills in an engaging and fun way!
