$145,000 awarded to fight crime

Saturday, December 1, 2007: Local Assemblywoman RoAnn Destito (D-Rome) announced that Utica Safe Schools Healthy Students would receive $95,000 from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services to "combat Utica crime, gang activity, truancy and delinquency" (2 groups get $145,000 to fight crime, retrieved January 4, 2008).

DCJS awards $2 million in grants to combat youth crime, delinquency; 23 non-profit organizations in 15 counties receive funding
